In 1997 Jack and Hilary Cole decided to go out on their own and start a family-owned and operated construction company. Jack already had a great deal of construction experience gained through years of working with his grandfather in a similar type of business and wanted to build a business they one day could pass down to their children. It wasn’t an easy decision to walk away from a steady paycheck, but after Jack promised Hilary he would make $300 a week, she agreed and a business was born. Twenty years and many boards, nails and hammers later, our current business, Cole Construction, LLC, a woman-owned small business, is currently a $10,000, 000+/yr. revenue company with offices in Washington DC and Denver, Colorado.
